About CSL

Kristian Hui is the managing Partner of CSL Consultants. Kristian brings a wealth of experience to CSL within the liquor industry and ratifies the Cannabis division.

He has over 20 years experience working with the Canada Revenue Agency specializing in excise duty. He has held various key position within the Excise Department, including Officer, Technical Advisor, Team Leader and Regional Manager for the Pacific Region. He was 1 of 5 National Regional managers to implement the legalization of Cannabis through the Cannabis Act and Excise Act, 2001 on October 17, 2018. In 2002, as a small business auditor, he was chosen to be part of the implementation team for Excise Act, 2001.  In addition to Cannabis Kristian has vast audit and compliance experience in the liquor industry auditing breweries, wineries, and distilleries on excise duty compliance.

Kristian is widely respected in the liquor and cannabis industries for his technical knowledge and deep understanding of the complexities of all the federal and provincial regulations. This knowledge gained over the last 20 years has allowed him to develop a network of longstanding relationships with government agencies and regulatory officials at all levels (federal, provincial, municipal) 

 

Gagan Singh, founder of Clear Sky Liquor Consultants has over 10 years of experience in government relations and administration. Gagan has obtained a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Government Relations which has allowed him to gain an in debt understanding of how government bodies operate within Canada and B.C. We focus on providing clarity to client when dealing with the government in the liquor industry. We work closely with our clients and guide them through the process of obtaining liquor licenses, manufacture licenses, food and liquor primary licensing, special event permits and other liquor related issues. Our team is looking forward in applying these same principles to the cannabis industry.

Gagan Singh and the CSL Consultants team have built longstanding relationships with key government and regulatory officials within BC’s municipal and provincial governments. These relationships combined with years of experience dissecting provincial liquor regulations combine to provide a reliable team of professionals, who have a great understanding of both municipal government and provincial liquor licensing regulations and policies.
